This report presents the results of a retrospective review of 103 patients at a single urban academic health center with confirmed severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection. The study showed that hospitalization is related to host factors such as age 65 years or older with an increasing number of specific non-communicable disease comorbidities, and not to HIV-attributable factors.Competing Interest StatementThe spouse of Sheela Shenoi worked for Merck Pharmaceuticals from 1997 to 2007 and retains company stock in his retirement account.
